According to Wikipedia: “An Internet service provider (ISP) is an organization that provides myriad services related to accessing, using, managing, or participating on the Internet”. Although technically correct, this definition misses the value Service Provider brings to their communities and society as whole. Service Providers are the gateway to technology for their subscribers; at the same time, SPs must deal with technological changes in their own field.  

Networking systems have become increasingly complex due to digital transformation initiatives, multi-cloud, the proliferation of devices and data, hybrid work, and more sophisticated cyberattacks.
